Existing PAN cardholders do not need to apply for a new PAN under the enhanced system. Current valid PAN cards will remain fully functional under PAN 2.0 until holders seek an update or rectification. However, if you wish to upgrade to a new PAN card with the latest features, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NSDL Website: Navigate to the NSDL ePAN Request page.
  2. Enter Required Information: Provide your PAN, Aadhaar number (for individuals), and date of birth.
  3. Submit Information: Select the applicable checkboxes and click on “Submit.”
  4. Verify Details: Review your current details as updated with the Income Tax Department.
  5. Enter OTP: Choose the option to receive a One-Time Password (OTP), enter it, and validate your details. Note that the OTP is valid for 10 minutes.
  6. Select Payment Mode: Agree to the terms and conditions by selecting the checkbox, then click on “Proceed to Payment.”
  7. Confirm Payment: Verify the payment amount and select “Pay Confirm.”
  8. Complete Payment: After making the payment, click on “Continue.”
